Freezing Rain
We are under a Winter Weather Advisory for tomorrow January 23.
With this advisory, we can expect freezing rain with accumulations up to one tenth of an inch of ice.
Plan on slippery road conditions. If you can, delay your commute until the ice has a chance to melt.
Compared to a typical snowstorm, freezing rain is much more hazardous. This is especially true for on the road. While both are dangerous, it’s far easier to lose control of your vehicle on icy pavement, not to mention the increased risk of falling branches and power lines.
Use extreme caution when driving. Also, watch for ice on walking surfaces.
