Defensive Driving School Lessons Work!

Countless factors can affect drivers on the roadways of Pittsburgh. Some of these factors are out of the control of the driver, but some can be controlled. Drivers Education teaches new and experienced drivers how to handle stressful situations and make the roads from Cranberry to Pittsburgh a safer place.

At some point in time a driver will experience unneeded stress, fatigue, emotional distress, and road rage while behind the wheel. These emotions may seem like nothing, but when operating a vehicle, emotions can create an unsafe environment for those drivers sharing the road. These emotions are not only hazardous to other drivers and passengers but to pedestrians. Drivers Ed teaches students how to identify these emotions and how to control them before they get out of hand.

Defensive driving doesn’t just focus on teaching the rules of the road to students. Taking a defensive driving course will teach drivers how to overcome a negative psychological factor. Pittsburgh can be a stressful city to drive in for inexperienced drivers, however, our Drivers Education course takes students to the road with full driving lessons to not only get them comfortable with the road but prepared for certain situations.

While taking driving lessons in our Drivers Ed course, students will learn how to remain positive behind the wheel. Students will also see firsthand how reacting negatively to situations on the road can have a negative outcome verses staying calm with a positive outcome.

It doesn’t matter if an experienced driver is on a crowded street in downtown Pittsburgh, or a new driver is on an empty street in the suburb of Cranberry, situations are bound to arise, and we want our students prepared and confident. Keeping drivers educated on safety and teaching drivers how to handle situations helps to keep our roadways safe.
